#1 - took part in Taylor's College's Jog For Hope. ran 9k on my own whilst Lynn ran ahead.
i so hate candid shots of me while i'm running! i always look constipated!
#2 - climbed up Bukit Tabur as early as 530am with YB's colleagues. caught a beautiful sunrise with mist, making it look like you're not in Malaysia at all!
#3 - VK was back in KL for a while. caught up for makan-makan at Pangkor Fish Village restaurant in Taman Mayang, across from Fatty Crab. (i forgot the correct name for the restaurant, oops)
AUGUST 2009
#1 - i was choosen to particpate in the Rat Race 2009.
my team was so closed to getting 3rd place!
i vowed to improve my time for the 5k run ... i MUST take part again next year, hehe.
#2 - we went up to Kulim so i could visit Joanne and her schnoodle pups! thereafter we went to find Tasik Mengkuang - it was huge! i was so tempted to start running around it, just to find out how big it was.
SEPTEMBER 2009
#1 - celebrated YB's birthday at Korea House in Desa Sri Hartamas, at a colleague's recommendation. i still think korean food will not grow on me, except for their instant noodles ... and Sun multigrain crisps ...
#2 - Nur was back from London for the Raya hols. that's her hiding behind WC. and darling Violet was snoozing in her pram when the pic was taken!
#3 - flew back to KK for my 2nd sister's Registration of Marriage ("ROM"). i was also the photographer for the event and with my limited skills (ahem), thank goodness most of the photos turned out alright!
hiked up to the Pinnacles and it was ... not worth it. i mean, the hike itself was torture, but by the time you arrive up, you're only allowed about 30-45mins max to enjoy the view. boo!
the cousins had fun getting together for photos! =)
i got a bit lost that night, trying to get out of Cyberjaya/Putrajaya. no thanks to malaysian signages!

#1 - we went to Mulu!! it was first time i stepped foot on Sarawakian soil. =D

and that's where i sprained my left ankle. =(

#2 - surprised YB's dad with a birthday cake that long weekend at the end of November. we managed to keep the cake under wraps in the fridge without him knowing, hehe!
DECEMBER 2009
also undeniably one of the best months in the year!
#1 - we went down to Singapore for the marathon. it was going to be our first half marathon together ever!
but we overslept the next day! hehe. cos we went to the Night Safari the night before.loved the Christmas decor in town!
i want to go back to Singapore for sightseeing! i mean, the food isn't that great, but i've got loads of people to visit that a weekend is not enough!
#2 - my 2nd sister's wedding in Kota Kinabalu itself.
then the wedding itself took place on 13-12-2009.
YB and i were the emcees for the evening, with me speaking English and he in Mandarin. i got the groom's mum's name mixed up! it was so embarrassing! YB had to nudge me on stage, and i heard the groom's side of the ballroom gasp in horror or something.
and most importantly, we took the cable car up!
met up with YB's friend, Sean at Orkid Ria for lunch the day we left. we wanted to surprise him at his hotel on Christmas night but it sorta backfired when we couldn't find him anywhere in his hotel as he was out having dinner in Kuah Town!
the breathtaking sunset we witnessed in the plane on the way back from langkawi.
the night before, we had dinner with the relatives. celebrated a cousin's birthday as well. i managed to grab a cake, phew!

i am truly blessed to have had such an eventful 2009!
yesterday was a great day for me, to be able to speak to 3 closest friends on the phone, hehe. thanks for the overseas call, fellas! ;)
for 2010, i am looking forward to more adventure and time with close friends, of course! there'll be more flying around next year:
- YB and i will be taking up our Open Water licence thingy ... hoping to visit Sipadan. ;)
- doing a half marathon in February 2010 with both Lynn and YB.
- going to Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou, China!
- hoping to lose more kilos. hehe.
- save more money!
- perhaps Perth and Bali, if we're lucky!
- improve my photography skills, if any. =D
